The Planted Master Class

AboutĀ me

Hi, I’m Ian, IĀ want to welcome you to the fantastic world of plants.

I am at my happiest when working with plants, talking about plants or showing people plants.
There are lots of stories to share with you...... there was this one time when I dug up a fully dormant fig tree in January ahead of some very cold weather, I moved it into an unheated greenhouse and put it in a large pot, confident it would leaf out ready for planting in a new location.Ā
It was planted out in late April with no leafs, and just sat there, no new foliage, just bareĀ stems. The same in May...and June ...and July.
Had it died on my watch? Ā On the first day of August it sprouted new leafs evenly through out the entire plant! There was about 10% die back which was much less than I expected and it is thriving.Ā
Observing plants and their growth remains a captivating subject.Ā

My method for living at one with your garden is to identify the correct task, schedule it for completion at the right time and allow enough time to complete the task to a high standard.

Your busy schedule needs to align with your plant expectations.Ā
